New Castle....Roberta Jeanette (Huffman) Haynes, 80, resident of New Castle, passed away Wednesday at Stonebrook Nursing Center in New Castle.
She was born in Henry County, April 29, 1940, the daughter of Robert and Crystal Huffman and had lived in Henry County all of her life living for 53 years in the Cadiz community.
She had been a homemaker.
She had attended Center Chapel Church near Cadiz.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gerald L. Haynes of New Castle, 1 daughter, Dana Orr of New Castle, a son, Kenneth McBride of Muncie, grandchildren; Kylie McBride of New Castle, Kierra McBride of Muncie, and Kris McBride of Muncie, great grandchildren, Breona LaForce and Hendrix McBride, a brother, John Huffman of Straughn, 2 sisters, Ramona Joyce Reece of New Castle and Jan Lawrence (Steve) of Ohio, 2 nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Julia Smith, a son, Gerry Haynes, and a granddaughter, Kayla McBride.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Dillon Ketchum officiating. Burial will follow in Hess Cemetery, Cadiz.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 PM.
