Muncie....Robert Lamb, 86,formally of Daleville, passed away Tuesday at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie after a short illness.He was born in Randolph County, December 22, 1924, the son of Orval and Thelma Summers Lamb.He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a sister.He was a graduate of Center High School in 1943. He worked as a farm hand for several years and was employed by International Harvester dealerships, Jeffers' Implement in Oakeville and Knotts' Implement in Gaston. He retired from General Motots in Anderson in 1986.He was a 57 year member of Whitney Lodge #229 F & AM and a 55 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #568 and was Past Worthy Patron.He worked with the International Order of Job's Daughters for nearly 50 years, was a member of the Murat Shrine of Indianapolis and was a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis, and the York Rite of Anderson.He was a member of the Indiana Farm Bureau, American Angus Association, Indiana Angus Association, and the Southeast Indiana Angus Association.He was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church in Muncie.He and his wife loved to travel and covered many states, provinces in Canadam and the countries of Europe and Australia. He enjoyed raising cattle, farming, gardening, and following his grandchildren's acrivities.He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Rosella Martin Lamb of Muncie, two children: Dr. Bruce L. Lamb (Beth) of Milford, and Merianne Kerr (Jeffrey) of Carmel, six grandchildren: Heather Lechlitner (Fred) of Nappanee, Michelle Lamb of Shipshewana, Annette Lamb of Mulberry, Brent Lamb of Milford, Stefanie Anne Walker (Brandley) of Noblesville and Christopher Kerr (Amber) of Norman, OK, five great grandchildren: Caleb, Hayden, and Halle Lechlitner of Nappanee, Andrew Walker of Noblesville and Addison Kerr of Norman, OK, two sisters-in-law: Madge Lamb of Selma, Mary Lamb of Farmland, one brother-in-law: Don Ramsey of Muncie, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville.Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery near Muncie.Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 4-8 PM with Job's Daughters conducting memorial services at 7:30 PM and masonic services by Whitney Lodge at 8:00PMMemorials may be made to the Job's Daughters Educational Foundation, c/o Bonita Rameriz, 2906 Scott Drive, Yorktown, IN 47396.Online guestbook at:
