Robert Conley Hale

Middletown...Robert Conley Hale, 76, resident of Mechanicsburg, passed away Sunday evening at Community Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness.He was born in Kentucky, September 27, 1930, the son of Elmer and Emily Hale.He moved to Henry County in 1966 and lived in the Middletown/Mechanicsburg area.He had worked as a custodian at Shenandoah School and also at Emge in Anderson.He trained K-9 for area police and was a US Army veteran.Survivors include his wife: Delora of Middletown, sons:Larry Shinabarger of Anderson, Bruce Shinabarger (Elizabeth) of Marion and Chris Shinabarger of Mechanicsburg, sisters: Marjorie Miller and Juanita Miller of Richmond, Marcella Johnson, Martha Parkhurst and Norma Kouns of Lebanon, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Rev. Maynard Powell officiating.Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM.Memorials may be made to the Sixth Street Christian church of Middletown.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
