Anderson...Robert Eugene Gift, 63, resident of Anderson, passed away at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Anderson, February 23, 1952, the son of Howard and Alice Leona Yeryar Gift.He was a 1970 graduate of Shenandoah High School and worked at Madison Park Church of God.He was a member of the NRA.He was preceded in death by his parents and a great grandson: Isaeah Cooper.Survivors include his wife: Opal (Melton) of Anderson, step mother: Lora Gift of Middletown, 4 sons: Bobby E. Gift, Jr. (Terri) of Middletown, James Melton (Jana) of CAve City, KY, Billy Kent of Anderson, and Christopher Melton of Anderson and 1 daughter: Tina Gift of Middletown, 2 sisters: Marilyn Stanley of Frankton and Donna Lou Hill of Texas, several nieces and nephews, 11 grandchildren: Colton and Conner Gift, Ashley Melton, Brianna Melton, James Melton, Blake Kent, Kailey Kent, Dylan Kent, Chris Melton, Brianna Johnson ad Kane Melton, 4 great grandchildren.A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday at 10:00am at Ballard and sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Marty Ballard officiating.Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 at the funeral home.
