Robert “Bob” W. Hubbard, 87, of Middletown passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Rawlins House in Pendleton. He was born on February 17, 1937, in Randolph Co. to the late Marion and Marcella (Thornburg) Hubbard.
Bob was a 1955 graduate of Stoney Creek High School. After high school Bob went to work at Delco Remy as an engineer, after 35 plus years of service he retired in 1991. Bob’s last project before retiring was working on the Electric Vehicle program, something he was proud to be part of 35 years later. A long-time member of Antioch Christian Church, Bob and Donna always looked forward to going to Church on Sundays. Bob enjoyed watching sports especially baseball and the Reds.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Hubbard; sons, Gary (Jodi) Hubbard and Scott (Sabrina) Hubbard; grandchildren, Travis (Mariel) McSherley, Amber (Carl) Reed, Tara (Stewart) Branstetter, Cory (Tammi) Lynch, Robby (Kate) Lynch, Chase (Jill) Hubbard, Taylor Hubbard, Brittney (Andy) Ebbert and Nicholas Hubbard; 14 great grandchildren; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Real; brothers, Murray Hubbard and Vernon Hubbard.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday January 17, 2025, at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown with Pastor Jerry Bowlin officiating. Burial will follow at Miller cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
