Rick Lee Shewmaker

Chesterfield...Rick Lee Shewmaker, 61, resident of Chesterfield but longtime resident of Middletown, passed away Saturday evening at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson.He was born in Anderson, January 15, 1955, the son of Joseph and Ella Lucile Landes Shewmaker.He was a 1973 graduate of Shenandoah High School and had been employed as a carpenter for over 40 years.He was a member of the Carpenters Union in Indiana and lived in Middletown most of his life.He loved riding his Harley Davidson and enjoyed talking with people. He had been a coach in the Shenandoah Little League and was an avid Shenandoah Sports booster.He is survived by his son: Adam Shewmaker (Brittany) of Noblesville and a daughter: Tina Shewmaker of Anderson, 3 grandchildren: Kelsie of Anderson, Aydia and Rya of Noblesville, 1 brother: Randy (Gerri) Shewmaker of Daleville and several nieces, step daughter: Tassie Caine and step grandchildren: Dalen, Jada and Maddox.A special thank you to JoAnn Osborn and Dee Miller, his caregivers.A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, 698 North 5th, Middletown with Pastors Phil Rogers and Marty Ballard officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Middletown.Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 4-8.Memorials may be made to the Shenandoah Little League.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Rick with family and friends.
