Richard Lee ""Dick"" Manring

Daleville...Richard Lee ""Dick"" Manring, 79, resident of Daleville, passed away May 13, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.He was born in Muncie, May 16, 1935, the son of Emery L. Manring and Jeanette Walling and was employed as an independent carpenter for over 60 years. He learned his skills at a very young age from his father and was known for his beautiful woodworking designs and many premiere homes in the area. His spirit will live on forever in his amazing creations.He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Nancy Ellen (Hale) of Daleville, children: Cindy Moody (Darrell) of Muncie, Joe Manring (Terri) of Losantville and Carol Ellis (Rick) of Muncie, 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Norma Anders and Ruth Westervelt.A Celebration of Dick's life will occur on Monday at 2:00 PM at Tomlinson Cemetery in Muncie with Rich Hagen officiating.
