Middletown...Richard Lee Jones, 63, resident of Middletown, passed away Saturday afternoon at his home.He was born in Honolulu, HI, September 24, 1952 the son of Carl Richard and Norma Tumilty Jones.He was a 1971 graduate of Anderson High School and had worked for several years at Magna Power Train as well as being a Tool and Die maker for years.He had been a resident of near 38 years in Middletown.He was a self taught guitar player and singer, loved to work on small engines and collected knives and tractors.Survivors are his wife: June Johnson Jones of Middletown, his mother Norma Jones of Anderson, children: Ryan (Crystal) Jones of Markleville, Alicia (Jason) Soliven of Indianapolis and Tasha (John) Harrington of Middletown, 7 grandchildren, 1 sister: Karen Mandrell (Don) of Anderson 1 brother: Mark (Stephanie Jones of Anderson.He was preceded in death by his father and a brother: Mike Jones.A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.
