Anderson...Richard Kenneth Emswiller, 81, resident of Anderson, died Monday morning at his residence after an extended illness.He was born in Chesterfield, May 16, 1922, the son of Nelson and Catherine Emswiller.He had retired from Fisher Guide in 1982 after 37 years of service.He was a veteran of WW 2 serving in the United States Marine Corps.He moved from Middletown to Anderson in 1966 and had been a Life member of the Elks Lodge, the Disabled American Veterans #206 and the 3rd Marine Division. He was also a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars #266, the Marine Corps League, the American Legion Post #216 of Middletown and the Highland Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Jean (Niblock), 1 son: Timothy Ralph, 1 brother: Nelson W. ""Bud"" Emswiller, and his in laws: Ralph and Lola Niblock.He is survived by a son: Gregory W. Emswiller of Anderson and 3 grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Marine Honors will take place at Miller Cemetery near Middletown.Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown/Fall Creek Historical Society through the funeral home.Online Guestbook is available at:
