Mark Ellis Riggs

Chesterfield.....Rev. Mark Riggs,63, resident of Chesterfield, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning.He was born in Greenfield, Indiana, December 27, 1951, the son of Curtis Jean and Patricia Lee Ellis Riggs.He was a 1969 graduate of Shenandoah High School and Cedarville University with a degree in Pastoral Ministries.He had worked for over 25 years at Dennis Equipment in New Castle. He also worked at Flock Implement in Rockville and farmed for many years.He had been a supply pastor serving at many churches including, Jamestown, Ohio, and Wellston Church.He had served as a member of the Cedarville Campus Safety Team and served as deacon at Grace Baptist, Kennard Christian, Rockville First Baptist and was a member of Dayton Ave Baptist of Xenia, Ohio.He currently was Senior Pastor of Trinity Community Church in Daleville.Survivors are his wife of 40 years: Deborah Ruth (Hale) of Chesterfield, 2 sons: Michael Jean Riggs of Waterford, MI and Matthew Joseph Riggs of Chicago, 2 1/2 brothers: William Hess of Gurnee, IL and Rick (Cindy) Patton of Indianapolis, 4 brothers: Chester (Carolyn) Riggs of Corinth, TX, Bob (Brenda) Riggs of Kennard, John (Marcia) Riggs of Ndola, Zambia, and David (Risa) Riggs of Lincoln, IL, 4 sisters: Donna (Phillip) Zachary of Middletown, Arlene Riggs of Schertz, TX, Darlene Riggs of Daleville, and Sharon (Ken) Custer of New Castle, several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father: Jean in 2000.A celebration of Pastor Mark's life will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Trinity Community Church in Daleville with Rev.
