Raymond Dee Scott of Anderson, Indiana passed away at the age of 102 on August 2nd, 2024 at Bethany Point Nursing Home. He was born in Dunkirk, Indiana in 1922 to George and Hattie Scott.
Raymond, also known as Ray or Scotty in the community, worked for 37 years at Sears Roebuck & Co. in Anderson. After graduating from Dunkirk High School he served in the United States Navy during WW II along side his identical twin brother, Robert (deceased 10/23/18). He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Anderson. He will always be remembered by his joyful and hearty laugh and whistling while he worked.
He is survived by his loving wife of 77 years, Rosamond, along with daughters Deborah and Pamela; grandchildren Ashley, Sean and Ryan; great-grandchildren Lachlan and Link; nephews Gary and Rodger and nieces Judy, Kimbra, Kathy and Sandra.
Thank you to all of the thoughtful friends and neighbors who have helped out for so many years. A special thanks to all of the Hospice staff that were so wonderful to him and our family.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
