Middletown....Raymond Louis Antrobus, 87, resident of Middletown, passed away April 7, 2014 at St. Vincent Regional Hospital, Anderson.He was born in Anderson, Indiana, November 21, 1926, the son of Arthur Louis and Gladys Niccum Antrobus. He attended Anderson High School and was a veteran of US Merchant Marine (Coast Guard) during WW 2. He retired from Container Corporation in 1989, worked at Days Standard in Middletown and was a member of the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, the American Legion, Lions Club and the Conservation Club.He was Vice Commander and Historian of the Middletown American Legion.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Barbara (Watson), brothers: David and William Antrobus and 3 sisters: Vera, Evelyn, and Thelma Nelson and a special friend: Emma Skinner.Survivors include his daughters: Karen (Donald) Kelley of Middletown and Teresa (Dale) Mason of Pendleton, 1 sister: Virginia (Dwight ""Ed"") Wood of Anderson, grandchildren: Lori (Michael) Medvig, Christopher (Toyzanne) Mason, Shelly Kimmerling (Mark Ballenger), Marcy (Andre') Gaines, and Kyle Haskell, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.Celebration services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Ballard & Sons, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev. David Whitteberry and Rev. Mary Ballard officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Middletown.Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.Online Guestbook at:
