Anderson...Rachel Marie Thompson...85, resident of Community Northview in Anderson, passed away on June 1, 2005 after a brief illness.She was born in Whitesburg, KY, August 21, 1919, the daughter of John Eldridge and Lillian Grady.During her lifetime she had owned a Dress Shoppe as well as a Gift Shop. Her later years prior to retirement, she had worked in the meat department at Pay-Less in Anderson.She had been preceded in death by her parents, sister; Kay Puterbaugh, brother: John Eldridge and Stephen Eldridge, and Uncle: Curtis ""KY"" Dixon.Survivors include 1 son: Valentine ""Jack"" Rinker of Anderson and 1 daughter: Elizabeth Ann Gregg of Anderson, Brothers: Chester Turner of Daleville and Jim (Joyce) Turner of Indianapolis, sisters: Clara Amendola of Peoria, Ill and Martha (Warren) Mason of South Bend, granddaughter: Christina Lee (William Garrett) Starr, great grandson: Christopher Jackson(Molly) Helm of Anderson, granddaughter: Courtney Ann Marie Barclay of Muncie and Cassandria Leigh Barclay of Muncie, Great great grandson: Teegan Alexander Helm and Great great granddaughter: Alizabeth Nevaeh Helm of Anderson.Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 2:30 at Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Daleville with Richard Gregg officiating.Friends may call at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville on Saturday from noon until 2:00 PM.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
