Phillip Eugene Grady, 81 passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021. He was born on October 24, 1940 to the late Harold and Ethel (Conn) Grady.
Phillip graduated from Middletown High School in 1958 and attended Ball State University. He was an apprentice tool maker for GM then moved to Delco Battery and became an Engineer with Delco Remy. Before Phillip's illness he was a member of the Trinity Community Church of Daleville and was a Deacon for several years. He managed several church projects and was the church liaison for Boy Scouts. Phillip was on the school board for Daleville Community Schools for 6 ½ years. For several years he was the treasurer for Daleville Music Boosters as well as the Cash Family Pottery Club since 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Karen of Daleville; 2 children, Rex Grady of Tucson, AZ and Gayle Coffey; 2 grandchildren, Tory of Muncie and Tyler (Kendall) Grady of Hartford City; 4 great-grandchildren, Aurora, Arrianna, Emma and Alaryk Grady.
In addition to his parents, Phillip is preceded in death by his son; Jeff Grady; 2 brothers; Harold William Grady Jr. and James Robert Grady.
Services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, December 10, 2021 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville with W. Allison Burnette Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.
