Perry Lee Poston, 63, of Middletown passed away on October 24, 2023, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 27, 1959, in Anderson to Kenneth and Barbara (Darling) Poston.
Perry was a 1978 graduate of Shenandoah High School. During his high school years, he played baseball and ran track. He was employed by Roberts & Miller Pipeline as a pipeline welder for 35 years. Perry was very social; he liked his beer and guns. He enjoyed spending time with his family down south. Perry loved hunting, gardening, canning, being outside and riding his Harley, as well as spending time with his dogs. He was a member of the Middletown American Legion and the Pipefitters Union. He was a very particular and detailed guy, always making sure everything was done correctly.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Poston; children, Jama (Daniel) Poston, Jessika (Shawn) Daugherty and Josh Poston; step children, Laura Fowler and Matt (Tracy) Wisner; mother, Barbara Poston; grandchildren, Airrene (Spencer), Genesis, Wesli (Dane), Skyler, Aaren, Maddie, Addie and Lettie; great grandchildren, Omari and Raycen; sister, Paula (Johnny) Johnson; brother, Greg (Pam) Poston; along with several nieces and nephews extended family, Rollie and Cody Huff.
In addition to his father, Kenneth Poston he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Emma Darling; infant daughter, Jennifer Poston; Cong and Buckwheat.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown with Matt Wisner officiating. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
