Middletown..Pernia Mae Shelton, 89, resident of Middletown, passed away Monday at Community Hospital in Anderson.She was born in Pulaski, Kentucky, March 21, 1927, the daughter of Atley and Bonnie Dick Moore.She was a homemaker all her life and a member of the Mounds Baptist Church. She loved bowling, country music and traveling to Tennessee, especially Opryland.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Samuel in 2015.Survivors are her children: Redith Hines (Stephen) of Jasonville, Danny Shelton (Sharon) of Orange Park, FL, Norma Ross (Jerry) of Middletown and Richard Shelton (Diana) of Anderson, brothers: Eugene Moore (Claudette) of Pendleton and Leland Moore (Evelyn) of Chesterfield, sisters: Lucy Craig (Jack) of Anderson, Irene Feller of Chesterfield and Charlotte Fauld (Larry) of Anderson, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 3:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Cliff Richardson officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from Noon until the time of the services.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comMemorials to the Mounds Baptist Church.A special thank you to the staff at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care.The Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Pernia with family and friends.
