Daleville....Pearl (Daufain) Sharp, 94, resident of the Daleville area, died Monday evening at her residence after a brief illness.She was born in Hoxie, Arkansas, February, 28, 1909, the daughter of John and Nora McMillan Daufain. She had worked as kitchen manager for Story's Truck Stop in Daleville for over 30 years.She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ of Yorktown.Survivors include five children: Betty (J.C.) Kellow of Daleville, Bobby (Sammie) Sharp, Sr. of Buchanan, Tennessee, James Donald (Betty) Sharp of Murfeesboro, Tennessee, David Sharp of Muncie, Indiana and Richard Sharp of Inverness, FLA, 22 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years: Ed A. Sharp, a daughter: Marcia Reed, a grandaughter: Laura Elizabeth Sharp, 2 sisters: Elnora and Ruby as well as one brother: Joe.She was also preceded in death by her foster father who raised her: Jake Guimon .Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at Westside Church of Christ in Yorktown with Ministers A. J. Cox and John Reed officiating.Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie.Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville and 1 hour before the services at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to the Memphis School of Preaching, 3950 Forrest Hill, Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.Online Guestbook is available at:
