New Castle...Paulene Carol (Walters) Whitinger, 66, resident of New Castle, passed away Monday evening at St. Vincent's Regional Hopsital in Anderson.She was born in New Castle, May 23, 1949, the daughter of Kenneth and Viola Zirkle Walters.She was a 1967 graduate of Middletown High School and drove a truck for Stewart Trucking for several years.She is survived by her husband: Jerry of New Castle, mother: Viola Walters of Middletown, children: Carol Sims (Jonathan) of Anderson and Charlie Whitinger (Laura) of Anderson, 2 grandchildren: Derek Luttrell and Mitchell McCormick, 4 siblings: Elizabeth Ann Moore, Effie Alice Griffin, Kenny Phil Walters and Roberta Rice, as well as several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father: Kenneth and a grandson: Brittany Luttrell.A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 6:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Dr. James Harless officiating.Memorials may be made to the Henry County Humane SocietyOnline Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of Paulene with family and friends.
