Lexington, Ohio...Paul Ernest Yapp, Jr., 56. former Middletown area resident, died in Lexington, Ohio, after a brief illness.He was born in Knightstown, IN, July 26, 1948, the son of Paul and Jennie Riley Yapp, Sr. He moved to Lexington 9 years ago from the Middletown area.He was employed by General Motors as a toolmaker in Anderson for 20 years before transferring to Mansfield Ohio working in Quality Control. He was a Middletown High School graduate and loved the outdoors as a hunter and fisherman. He was a avid reader, loved playing the drums, riding his Harley and was a mountain man, a gourmet cook, a storyteller and a history buff.Survivors include his wife of 21 years: Bonnie (Craig) of Lexington, 2 children: Shawn Yapp (Tiffany) of Anderson, Michelle Munden (John) of Daleville, 2 step children: Michelle Myers of Albuquerque, NM and Brandon Myers of Middletown, 6 grandchildren, 1 brother: Bill Yapp of Middletown and 1 sister: Debbie (George) Stephens of Middletown and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Anna Mary Kammeyer and Betty Gossage.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
