Painter, 99, passed away January 7, 2008 at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson.He was born in Summitville, September 9, 1908, the son of George and Alice Faulkner Painter.He retired in 1976 from Delco Remy where he had worked in tool design.He was a 50 year member of Mechanicsburg Masonic Lodge, American Legion post 127, Amvets, Eagles, Moose and Bethany Christian Church.Survivors are one daughter: Joan Campbell of Anderson, special friend: Anna Leap of Anderson, 3 sisters: Catherine Mohler of Alexandria, Thelma Mays and Jean McGill of Mesa, AZ, 7 grandchildren: Larry Painter (Laura Ann Stanley) of Anderson, Keith Painter of Anderson, Paula Akin (Ken) of Oklahoma, Shawn Carnes (Ross Scott) of Anderson, Brian (Sue) Carnes of Indianapolis, Andrea Wallace of Anderson and Rhonda (Richard) Grice of Oklahoma, 19 great grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife: Agnus M. (Bell-Cole) Painter, his parents, 1 son: Paul Painter, Jr, 1 sister: Mary Cholar and 2 brothers: Howard and Harold Painter.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
