Patricia Ann Mcdonnell

Patricia Ann McDonnell (Best), 70, of Middletown, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 21,1952 in Muncie, Indiana, Patricia was a loving and kind individual who always put others' needs before her own with loving care.

Patricia retired from the Shenandoah School Corporation. She dedicated herself to her work and made a positive impact on the lives of countless people. Patricia found solace and strength in her faith, attending the Middletown Church of God. She was an active member of the congregation and drew comfort from her spiritual community.

In her leisure time, Patricia enjoyed pursuing her hobbies, including fishing at Lake Monroe, playing cards, being a member of The Eastern Star and PSI IOTA XI of Middletown until the chapter's closing. These activities brought her joy and allowed her to form lasting friendships.

Patricia is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 52 years, Alex McDonnell; son, Scott McDonnell; daughter, Jennifer Ogle; grandsons, Alex R. McDonnell and Brian L. McDonnell; granddaughter, Grace Maddock; brother, Mark Best; sister-in-law, Susan Best.

Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Todd McDonnell, and her brother, Rick Best.
Patricia Ann McDonnell will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to inspire those who were touched by her remarkable presence.

A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on July 21, 2023, from 5-8pm at the Middletown Church of God. It will be an opportunity for family, friends, and loved ones to come together and honor her memory. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown, IN. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Middletown Church of God, where Patricia found comfort and support throughout her life.
