Middletown....Patricia Rose (Buring) Johnson,66 resident of Middletown, passed away April 20, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Columbus, Indiana, March 10, 1945, the daughter of Francis and Marjorie Smith Buring.She was a graduate of Columbus High School and had lived in Middletown for over 45 years.She had served as a member of the Middletown/Dietrich Park Board, Middletown Christmas Parade Committee, Founding member of the Middletown Civic Center Board, Middletown Fall Funfest Committee and attended St. Anne's Catholic Church in New Castle.She had been a beautician for over 45 years and owned and operated Just Class Beauty Salon in Middletown.She loved gardening, her grandchildren, Palm Springs, Biking and golfing. She was known by her grandchildren as Grandma Indiana.Survivors include her daughters: Barbara Johnson Wolfe (Joey) of Thousand Oakes, CA and Madalyn Johnson Schulze (Scott) of Thousand Oakes, CA, her mother: Marjorie Buring of Middletown, 3 grandchildren: Cooper Schulze, Riley Schulze and Max Wolfe, Brothers: Mike Buring of Maine and Steve (Susie) Buring of Tennessee, 2 sisters: Connie Spriggs of California and Joy (Rabbit) Sanders of Columbus, several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father and husband: Jim Johnson.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, east of Middletown.Friends may call from 10 to 1:00 at the funeral home on Tuesday.Memorials to the Middletown/Fall Creek Emergency Services, and the Middletown Dietrich Park.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
