Middletown...Pastor Jack Rector, 70, longtime resident of the Middletown area, died early Friday morning at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis after a brief illness.He was born in Indianapolis, October 8, 1932, the son of John G. and Iva A. Fattic Rector.He had worked in Supervision at Delco Remy for over 36 years retiring in 1987.He had pastored several years at the Upper Fall Creek Church of the Brethern in Middletown and the Chapel Hill Church in Redkey, Indiana.Jack derived great joy from his family. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed music, playing the piano and singing.He was a member of the Southeastern Evangelistic Association of Macon, Georgia.He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Virginia Lee of Middletown, children: Dixie (Larry) Amonett of Anderson, Debra (Wayne) Masterson of Anderson, and John C. (Laney) Rector of Middletown, grandchildren: Laura (John) Hargrave of Anderson, Ryan (Ashley) Masterson of Anderson, Kristen (Scott) Miller of Anderson, Tyler Rector of Middletown, Chelsea Masterson of Indianapolis, Cody Rector and Cory Rector of Middletown and a great grandson: Luke Hargrave of Anderson, 1 brother: Rev. Charles (Virginia) Rector of Middletown, 1 sister: Betty Farmer of Middletown, 2 brothers in law and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother: Max Farmer and his in-laws: George and Coral Sweigart.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Bethany Christian Church with Rev. Bob Bell and Rev.
