Middletown...Opal Kay (Williams) Smith, 74, resident of Middletown, passed away Sunday monring at her home after an extended illness.She was born in Wayne County, IN, August 23, 1935, the daughter of James and Virginia Ellen McLain Williams.She attended Connersville High School and retired from Guide Lamp of Anderson in 1997 after 26 years.She was a member of the UAW Local 663.Survivors include 2 daughters: Kathy Nagel (Doug) of Anderson and Kristi Strother of Middletown, 2 sons: John Walker (Ellen) of Middletown and Stuart Walker of Anderson, sister in laws: Elena Williams of Los Angeles and Lelia McManigal of Richmond, 5 grandchildren: Heather Walker and Holli Walker of Middletown, Andrew, Joseph (Ashley Ancil) and Leslie Nagel of Anderson, 4 great grandchildren: Kailer Peavler, Spencer Richards, Sadie Nagel and Matthew K. Walker, several nieces and nephews.Also special friends: Carolyn Wilson of Shirley, Becky Blake of Middletown and Judy Ingles of Anderson.She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandchild: Jennifer Lynn Walker.Memorial services will be held on Thurdsay evening at 7:00 PM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.The Family will receive friends one hour before the services.Memorials may be made to the Lymphoma and Leikimia Societies and the Madison County Humaine Society.Online guestbook at:
