Norma Jean Pugsley, 97, of Daleville/Monticello passed away Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born in Muncie, IN on December 25, 1924, to the late William and Laura (Signet) Miller.
Norma devoted 38 ½ years to Indiana Employment Security where she became the assistant manager, Norma retired in 1987. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and supported the Shrine Club in Anderson. Norma loved dancing and competed in Pro/Am division of the United States Ballroom Dance Championship. Norma supported Guiding Eyes for the Blind and she also enjoyed being involved with Ladies of the Moose in Anderson, IN."
Norma had the opportunity to travel to many places throughout her life. Dancing took her all over the world, London, Paris, and Fairbanks Alaska are some of the those places she spent time in. She was very passionate about supporting dance competitions all over the United States. She was an avid believer in volunteering, she volunteered at Bethany Pointe Nursing Home in Anderson for many years. She adored her husband and enjoyed spending time with him while hunting deer and antelope in Montana. In her free time she was an avid sports fan where she enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers.
Norma is survived by long time friends Tim Lacy and Robert Pucci.
In addition to her parents Norma was preceded in death by her husband, James Pugsley and sister-in-law Mildred Manger.
On Saturday March 05, 2022 visitation services will be held from 12pm -2pm followed by funeral services at 2pm with grave site services immediately following
