Wimberly, Texas...Nora P. Melton, 91, resident of Wimberly, Tx, died December 14, 2003 in Texas after an extended illness.She was born in Burkesville, KY, February 27, 1912, the daughter of Elzie and Ella McIntyre Pierce.She had lived in the Anderson area and retired in 1974 from Delco Remy in Anderson after 28 years of service.She was a member of several Delco Travel Clubs, the UAW #662 and the Ovid Community Church.Survivors include: 1 son: Jim Melton of Wimberly, TX, 4 grandchildren: Jim Melton Jr. of New Orleans, Ann Davenport of Millington, TN, April Gish of Pensacola, FL, and Lana Dowell of Elkhart, IN., 1 sister: Mary DAvidson of Burkesville, KY and several nieces and nephews and 5 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers; Robert and Herschel Pierce, 1 son: Dale Melton, 4 sisters: Anna Anderson, Mattie Coomer, Ruby Garrett, and Willie Smith.Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville, with Rev. John K.
