Daleville...Nora A. (Walker) Cheatham, 90, resident of Daleville, passed away Friday afternoon at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, after a brief illness.She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky, August 23, 1912, the daughter of Wiley and Millie Walker.She had worked in the Delco Remy Cafeteria and Canteen Candy Store retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Daleville United Methodist Church and was active in several of the womens groups of the church. She was a member of the Golden Chain Sunday School Class and worked for many years in the Nursery of the church.Survivors include 3 sons: Willard D. Cheatham (Mary Lou) of Daleville, Glenn D. Cheatham (Judith K.) of Daleville and Donald E. Cheatham (Sherian Sue), also of Daleville, Grandchildren: Teresa J. Karr of Oswego, IL, Brent A Cheatham (Teresa) of Daleville, Sheryl L. Cheatham of Milwaukee, WI, Lisa D. Hannon of Avon, IN, and Kent A. Cheatham of Yorktown, Great Grandchildren: James and Bryant Karr of Oswego, IL, Jacob and Bradley Cheatham of Selma, Camille and Hanna Cheatham of Daleville, Conner, Haley and Marshall Hannon of Avon, Sisters: Flora Foust (Rev. Kenneth) of Middletown, Elsie Hale of Middletown, Cecile Stohler of Markleville, Christine Jones of Anderson, Corene Kuklenski (Richard) of Markleville and Maxine Dwiggins (Robert) of Pendleton.She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother; Gladys Walker, Husband: Willie L. Cheatham in 1993, grandson: Douglas A. Cheatham in 1994 and sisters and brothers: Schuyler Walker, Homer Walker, Gladys Brummett, Herbert Walker, Lloyd Walker, Bernie Bryant, Larnie Walker and Kelsie Walker.Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville, with Rev. Karen Ottjes officiating.Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 PM and one hour before the services on Monday.Memorial contributions may be made to the Daleville United Methodist Church through the funeral home.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
