Middletown...Nola Marie (Bowling) Abshire Winkler, 80, resident of Middletown, passed away Friday morning at Rawlins House in Pendleton.She was born in Farmers, KY, July 23, 1932, the daughter of Sam Ora and Lucy Grayson Bowling.She retired in 1984 from Delco Remy of General Motors after 30 years of service.She has lived in Middletown since 1942 and was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband: Clifford in 1975, brothers: Ernest and Norman Bowling.Survivors are her husband of 35 years Gene Winkler of Middletown, 4 children: Janet (Ted) Begley of Mechanicsburg, Cliff Abshire of Anderson, Andy Abshire of Alexandria, and Robin (Chris) Sanders of Middletown, step daughter: Karen (Jeff) Trennepohl of Middletown, sister: Ida Jessup of Knightstown, 9 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 4 step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, 698 North 5th, Middletown with Dr. Philip C. Rogers and Christan Sanders officiating.Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.Memorials may be made to the Middletown EMS or the Middletown Church of the Nazarene.Online Guestbook at:
