Daleville...Nelson Edward Dilk, 66, resident of Daleville, passed away July 22, 2010 at Community Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness.He was born in Decatur County, Indiana, November 12, 1943, the son of Nelson D. and Dorothy Johnson Dilk.He was a graduate of Versailles High School and was in the US Army reserve.He retired in 1992 from Delco Remy after 36 years as a grinder.He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Thorobred jockey Club, National Rifle association and the Army Reserve and National Guard.Survivors include his wife: Linda (Scott) of Daleville, parents: Nelson and Dorothy Dilk of Versailles, children: Shawn (Julie) Dilk of Versailles, Todd Dilk of Daleville and Brad (Shawnda) Dilk of Daleville, Lori Dilk and close friend Kevin Tighe of Daleville and Kim (Pat) Cornet of Dillsboro, IN, 1 brother: Marvin Dilk of Holton, IN and 1 sister: Patty Campbell of Pekin, IN, 8 grandchildren: Carson Tighe, Caden Dilk, Zachary Dilk, Lauren and Ivy Cornett, Hannah Dilk, Blaine Tighe and Coleton, Dilk, special nieces: Brandy Irwin and Carol Turner of Anderson, IN and several nieces and nephews, 2 Brothers: Bob (Linda) Turner and Bob Scott (Sandy).Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville.Burial will follow in Saunders Cemetery, Daleville.Friends may call on Monday at the funeral home from noon until the time of the services.Online Guestbook at:
