Daleville...Nellie Chloe Goodman Swaby, 70, resident of Daleville for over 41 years, died early Friday morning at Community Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness.She was born in Green County, September 27, 1933, the daughter of Jesse R. and Helen L. Lehman Goodman.She was a 1951 gradutate of Pleasantville High School and retired in 1991 from Delco Remy after 36 years of service.She was a member of the Delco Remy Family Campers of Anderson, UAW Local #662, United Senior Action of Anderson, and GM Delphi Campers of Kokomo.Surviors include her husband: William ""Bill"" Swaby of Daleville, 3 daughters: Mrs. Mark (Jeanne) Pickett of Middletown, Mrs. John (Debra) West of Daleville, Mrs. Charles (Linda) Hendrick, Jr. of Chesterfield, 2 brothers: Wayne (Donna) Goodman of Dugger,Indiana and Norman Goodman of Pleasantville, Indiana, 11 grandchildren: Autumn and Jeff McCoy of Middletown, Jeremy (Wendy) Dennis of Anderson, Franklin (Hether) Platt of Jacksonville, FL, Rebecca (Nate) Wattenbarger of Middletown, Amanda Swaby of Middletown, Trey and Heather Hedrick of Indianapolis and special friend: Dale Jordan of Middletown, 4 great grandchildren: Whitney Chandler of Anderson, Zackary Carroll of Anderson and Jacob and Mathew McCoy of Middletown, several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse in 1988 and Helen in 1996.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 PM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut, Daleville, IN with Rev. Jack Warren officiating.Burial will be in Saunders Cemetery in Daleville.Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8.
