Anderson...Myrtle Lee Brummett Phipps, 79, resident of Anderson and former Middletown resident, passed away on Tuesday afternoon at Community Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness.She was born in Sunnybrook, KY, December 6, 1928 the daughter of Haskell and Nona Stinson Rigney.She was a graduate of Ivy Tech Technical School and Shenandoah High School. She had been manager of the Chesterfield Flea Market for ten years retiring in 2003. For over 30 years she ran Mom's Day Care in Middletown.Survivors include her children: Tommy Brummett, Gene Brummett of Anderson, Hershel (Cindy)Brummett of Middletown, Sherry (Mitchell)Emmons of Washington, MO, Shelly (Jerri) Harter of Middletown, and Brett Phipps of Anderson, 14 grandchildren: Christopher Brummett of Anderson, Chasity Knifely of Anderson, Jeremy Threet of Anderson, Edward Brummett of Canyon City, CO, Mitchell Emmons of Washingto, MO, Nicholas Brummett of Anderson, Kendra Harter of Middletown, Kristopher Harter of Middletown, Andrew Emmons of Washington, MO, Aleshia Philpps and Clayton Phipps of Anderson, Justin Brummett , Matthew Brummett and Nathan Brummett of Anderson. Several great great grandchildren, 1 brother: Bill of Dayton, OH, 1 sister: Grace Spivey of Gainsboro, TN, several nieces and nephews.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sister: Mary Lester and Mabel Aaron and 2 brothers: Glenn Rigney and Ray Rigney.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th street, Middletown with Rev.
