Middletown....Minnie B.(Shoemaker) Payne, 89, resident of Middletown, passed away Thursday at St. Vincents Regional Hospital in Anderson.She was born in Michigantown, IN, March 12, 1924, the daughter of Theodore and Grace Earlywine Shoemaker.She married Douglas Payne in 1941 who preceded her in death on December 10, 1999.She worked at Delco Remy and attended the Pilgrim Holiness Church.She also worked at the Middletown Nursing Home and Liebhardt Mills. She belonged to the T.O.P.S. Club and the Colostomy Club.Survivors include her children: Richard (Karen) Payne of Atlanta< GA, Michael Payne of Lafayette, Janet (Ty) Huffman of Greenwood, and Beverly (Gary) Painter of Middletown, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers: Russell and Perry Shoemaker, a sister: Lottie Hood, a daughter Barbara and a grandson: Chris.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
