Middletown...Mildred C. Bennett, 88, resident of Middletown, died Wednesday evening at her residence after an extended illness.She was born August 21, 1914 in Fairfield, Ohio, the daughter of Grandville and Susie Clark.She was a member of the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #154 of Anderson. She retired from Delco Remy in Anderson after 42 years of service. She was a member of the UAW Local 662. She had lived in Anderson for many years before moving to Middletown.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 husbands; Wilford (Bill) S. Bennett, Thomas C. Ehle, and Warren Poffenbarger, 1 brother: Henry ""Curley"" Clark, 1 sister: Mary Lawrence, 1 niece: Grace Sue Morse.Survivors include: 1 nephew: Donald Bergstrom (Shirley) of Chesterfield and their children David and Darlene, 2 nieces: Bettisue Leach of Magnolia, Ohio and Marilou Smith of Ohio, good friends: Mary Robinson, Alvin King, Martha and John Ellison, many church friends and her caregivers; Joyce Blake, Ola McNeal, Gretchen Stolher and Betty Coby.Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, with Rev.
