Middletown...Michel Lee Rockwell, 60, lifetime resident of Middletown, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson.He was born September 4, 1946 in Middletown, the son of Edgar and Edna Mae East Rockwell. He had been a teacher in Anderson Community Schools since 1969 retiring in 2002.He was a 1964 graduate of Middletown High School, Purdue University in 1968 and received his masters in education from Ball State University in 1974.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors are his his wife: Laura Ann (Etherington) of Middletown and his best friend: Don Davenport of Middletown.Private services will be held at a later date.Friends may call on Tuesday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, from 4-8 PM.Memorial contributions may be made to the Take the Lead Program, Middletown EMS, or the k9 Health Foundation.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
