Charolotte, NC....Megan Zachary, 30, resident of Charlotte, NC and former resident of Middletown passed away January 21, 2012.God came and picked up one of his precious children. She lived a blessed life and was a blessing to the people that got to know her.Her number one priority was to know the unconditional and fullness of her Holy Father and her second was to show God's love to little children.She was born in Anderson, December 11, 1981, the daughter of Melvin and Joy Elaine Cheatham Zachary.She was a graduate of Shenandaoh High School where she was active in Softball, Basketball and Volleyball as well as National Honor Society and Student Council.She recieved her Elementary Education Degree from Southern Indiana University and her MA from Capella University.She spent a year during college with Americorp in Austin, Texas learning about children in other cultures. In Texas, she worked with elementary school children.She worked as a teacher in Mecklenburg Community School in Charlotte and the Sylvan learning Center and was active in the Mecklenburg Church.She was a precious daughter and beautiful woman of God.Survivors include her mother and father: Melvin and Joy Zachary of Middletown, 2 brothers: Nathaniel Wayne (Jody) Zachary of Rosemont, MN and Kyle (Lisa) Zachary of Indianapolis, 1 sister: Missy Hicks (David) of Venton, VA, 4 nieces: Shannon Hicks, Jamie Cahoy, Mariah and Regan Zachary, 4 nephews: Hunter Hicks, Paxton Zachary, Nathan and Aaron Cahoy, great aunt: Donna Greene of Anderson, several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg with Rev.
