Maurice Eugene Sullivan

Daleville....Maurice Eugene Sullivan, 78, resident of Daleville, died early Tuesday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born in Ballard County, KY, September 16, 1924, the son of the late Archie J. and Hanna Keppner Sullivan. He was a 1942 graduate of Plainfield High School and was a US Navy veteran of WW 2 and the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1974 from Delco Remy where he had been in Supervision for over 20 years.He moved to the Daleville area in 1963. He was a member of the American Legion of Chesterfield and Daleville and formally attended the E.U.B. Church in Daleville.Survivors are his wife of 56 years: Betty (Burnley) of Daleville, 4 sons: James of Alexandria, VA, Donald (Anne) of Daleville, Robert (Darla) of Dallas, and Mark (Linda) of Houston, 8 grandchildren: Sarah (Mike) Ainsa of Phoenix, Katherine (David) Guenthenspberger of Daleville, Ryan Sullivan of West Point Academy and Allison Sullivan of Houston, Andrew and Michael Sullivan of Houston, Ben and Sam Cusack of Dallas, 2 former daughter-in-laws; Gloria Sullivan of Woodbridge, VA, and Elise Dixon of Dallas, 3 brothers: Julian (Aline) of Indianapolis, Ray (Joan) oof Anderson and Neil (Janet) of Anderson, 1 sister: Ruth (Berlin) Rowe of Muncie, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Trinity Community Church with Pastor Paul Pletcher officiating. Military honors and a Dove release service will conclude the services at the church.
