Mary Ellen Wilson

Mary E. Wilson, 54, of Pendleton, Indiana passed away on Tuesday July 19, 2016 at Community Hospital North after fighting a short, but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 22, 1961, the daughter of David and Barbara Edwards in North Webster, IN, and graduated from Anderson High School. She attended Purdue University where she was a graduate of the 1984 class. She received a degree in Business and a minor in Marketing. Mary was an amazingly patient and loving mother. She treasured her role as a wife, caregiver, and best friend to Greg. She touched the lives of many and instilled love, respect, and kindness in all of her 'children' that she watched over the past 10 years. Mary valued family above everything else. She was a gardener, soccer mom, and she loved creating gifts to share with those she loved. She enjoyed vacationing with her family at her parent's home on Lake Webster and Gulf Shores, Alabama. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Greg; her two children, Sarah (Nick Cox), of Pendleton, IN., son Josh (fiancAC. Janae Matzat) of Fortville, IN., sister, Joyce Staub (Steve Staub) of Fishers, IN., In-laws Jim and Glenda Wilson of Pendleton, IN., Sister-in-Law, Robin Klise (Andy Klise) of Pendleton, IN., and several loved nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Edwards. The family would like to thank the nurses in the Progressive Care Unit and Intensive care at Community Hospital North of Indianapolis. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday July 23, 2016 at Ballard & Sons, 118 S. 5th St. Middletown, IN 47356 with final services at 6:00 PM.
