Mary Margaret Whitworth

Springport....Mary Margaret Whitworth (Fadley), 76, resident of Springport, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.She was born in New Castle, January 5, 1941, the daughter of Keith and Blanche Rutherford Fadley. She was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School (1959) and received her masters in Education from Ball State University in education. She had been a teacher for 39 years retired from New Castle Schools in 2002.She was a member of the Sulphur Springs Christian Church, the Retired Teachers Association of Henry County, Indiana State Teachers Association and the National Education Association.She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Kay and Jay Fadley.Survivors are husband: Richard Joseph ""Whit"" Whitworth of Springport, 2 adopted children: Latisha Wine of Michigan and Leah Wine of Indianapolis, Special family friends: Shirley, Donna, Risa, Don and Marge, step sons: Tim Whitworth of Anderson and Tony Whitworth (Kathleen) of California, 1 sister: Barbara Stohler (Ermil) of Naples FL, nieces and nephews: Stephen Stohler of Naples, FL, Marilou Jakubielski (Adam) of Bonita Springs, FL, great nephews and nieces: Tristan and Taryn Stohler, Jenna, Ty and Ava Jakubielski, 5 grandchildren: Tiffany Holmes (Chase) of Shelbyville, Curtis Whitworth (Brittany) of Indianapolis, Billy Ray Whitworth of Texas and Derek and Braden Whitworth of CA, 3 great grandchildren: Ellabelle Holmes, London Whitworth and Isabelle Whitworth.A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday March 4 at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Marty Ballard and C.J.
