Carmel...Mary Suzanna ""Suzie"" (Holdcraft) Stewart, 81, resident of Carmel and former Anderson resident, passed away early Sunday morning at St. Vincents Hospice Center in Carmel.She was born near Dunkirk, IN, the daughter of Wayne F. and Edith Current Holdcraft and lived for many years near Fairmount.She was a 1944 graduate of Redkey High School and had been a homemaker most of her life.She was a member of the Daleville United Methodist Church, OES of Fairmount, was active at one time in Girls Scouting and Brownies, she worked at the Marion General Hospital and volunteered at Riverview Nursing Home.She sang at the Easter pageant in Marion for several years.She is survived by her husband of 61 years: John ""Sim"" Stewart of Carmel, 1 son: Jim Stewart (Bev) of Indianapolis, 3 daughters: Judy Turner (Tom) of Orlando, FL, Gloria Tincher (Michael) of Marion and Barbara J. Myers (John) of Indianapolis, 3 grandchildren: Laura and Brian Turner of Orlando and Lou Ann Pier (Brad) of Westfield, 1 great grandchild: Avery Pier of Westfield. 1 brother: Robert Holdcraft (Doris) of Tucson, AZ.She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 daughter: Becky Sue in 1956 and 1 brother: Marion Holcraft.She loved her two Jack Russells: Randy and Mitzie.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM at Daleville United Methodist church with Pastor Karen Ottjes and Bill Kaiser officiating.Burial will follow at Saunders Cemetery, east of Daleville.Friends may call on Wednesday from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut, Daleville.Memorials contributions may be made to theAmerican Heart association.Online Guestbook at:
