Anderson...Mary G. Sharpe, 81, former Anderson resident, died Tuesday evening at Rawlins House convalescent Center in Pendleton after an extended illness.She was born in Fedora, South Dakota, November 7, 1923, the daughter of Robert and Zanza Hoffman Petteys.She retired from Tri County Golf Course in Middletown after 17 years of service.She moved from Anderson to Middletown in 1955 and moved back to Anderson in 1990.She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson and a member of the Alter and Rosary Societies. She belonged to the Mother Seton Widows Group and the RSVP of Madison County.Survivors are 1 son: Robert (Mandy) Sharpe of Anderson and 1 daughter: Anna Sharpe of Indianapolis, 3 grandchildren: Lindsey, Benjamin, and Kimberly Sharpe of Anderson and 1 brother: George Pettys of Hemet, CA and 1 sister: Emma Burghardt of Howard, S.D.She was preceded in death by her husband James in 1987 and 1 brother and 4 sisters.Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson with Pastor Edward Doundt officiating.Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown on Friday from 4-8 PM.Memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown EMS or the St. Ambrose Catholic Church.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com .
