Middletown...Mary Ann (Jarrett) Scothorn, 83, resident of Middletown, passed away Thursday evening in Middletown.She was born in Anderson, March 11, 1928, the daughter of George Robert and Mary M. Rigsby Jarrett.She had lived in Middletown for over 50 years and was an Anderson High School graduate.She had worked in the Clerk Treasurer's office for the Town of Middletown for over 44 years.She was a member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority of Middletown.Survivors include four children: Steven Graddy (Lyla) and Dixie Sturgeon (Mark) of Middletown, Sue Ann Bertram (Vic) of Daleville and Mary Alice Childers of Englewood, FL, 6 grandchildren: Wendy Venard (Barry) of Indianapolis, Bryce Graddy (Angel) of Middletown, Amy Bilbrey (Tony) of Anderson, Angie Smith of Middletown, Callie Childers of Englewood, FL, and India Jones (Fiance: Jason Abbott of Middletown, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, 1 brother: Samuel Jarrett (Edna) of Texas.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: John, 1 brother: Jack Jarrett, great grandson: Wyatt Jase Abbott and great great grandchild: Zayden Michael Smith.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown.
