Mary Edrafaun Pierce

Mary E. Pierce, 83, of Daleville died unexpectedly on April 21, 2018. She was born in Moonsville on February 8,1935 and is the daughter of Hazel (Hensley) and Clyde Hodson.
Mary worked at Anderson Banking Company which later became PNC for 30 years, retiring from there. Mary was an voracious reader and was a published author. She wrote the children's book Forie and Kedeli.
Mary is survived by her husband of 61 years Gene P. Pierce and her children Tia Rene Davis (John) and Tracy Ray Pierce; grandchildren, Desiree and Dustin Pierce, Julie, Alan, Mary Davis and one great-grandchild: Kennedi Pierce and serval nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25 at 11:00am to 1pm at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville.. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm the same day at the funeral home with burial at Hawk Cemetery in Yorktown.
