Middletown...MARTHA P. COLLEEN (Poer) VAUGHT, 66, resident of Middletown, died Friday morning unexpectedly at the Indiana Heart Institute in Indianapolis.She was born in Knightstown, November 3, 1936, the daughter of Russell and Margaret Poer. She moved from Knightstown to Sulphur Springs before moving to Middletown. She was a 1954 Sulphur Springs High School graduate.She retired in 1987 from Delco Remy in Anderson after 30 years of service.She was a member of the ABWA of Middletown, the American Legion of Middletown and the UAW Local 662.Survivors include 2 daughters: Gigi (Tony) Sanders of Middletown and Jodean (Burl) Ayres of Middletown, 6 grandchildren: Doug (Amanda) Ayres of Anderson, AT2 Anthony ""Jake"" Sanders deployed on the USS Harry S. Trueman, Sgt. Kyle Ayres of Ft. Hood, TX and Sgt. Keith (Michelle) Ayres of Germany, Kate Sanders of Franklin College, Derek Ayres of Middletown, 1 great grandchild: Chloe Ayres of New Castle, 4 sisters: Buelah Milne of Middletown, Alma (James) ""Buzz"" VanAlst of Sulphur Springs, Janet (Charles) Patterson of Muncie, and Marilyn (Junior) Reagin of New Castle, several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 1 sister and her husband Ralph Vaught.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Rev. Marty Ballard officiating.Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.Memorials may be made to the American Heart association.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
