Martha Marie Pettit

Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother Martha passed away July 26. Martha was born on September 26, 1939 to Herman and Elizabeth (Keesling) Zirkle. She was raised and attended school in the Middletown / Mechanicsburg area. She graduated from Middletown High School. She married Jerry Pettit on December 7, 1958 in Mechanicsburg. They raised their family in Elwood. In Elwood, Martha attended and was active in Grace United Methodist Church. Martha has resided in Anderson with Jerry since 1992 most recently in the Villas at Bethany Point. Martha was a member of St Matthew United Methodist Church.



Martha was preceded in death by her Father, Mother and Brother Jack. Martha is survived by her loving husband Jerry, her daughter, Barbara (Tim) Walsh of Lubbock, TX; two sons Steve (Dianne) of Pella, Iowa and David (Stacie) of Converse and grandchildren Katie Walsh, Robert, Tom and Liz Pettit.



Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 30 from 6pm to 8pm at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown. Funeral Services will be at 10:30am on Wednesday, July 31 at Ballard and Sons with burial to follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
