Daleville...""Martha"" Jane (Comer) Cox, 71, resident of Daleville, passed away Sunday morning at IU Health/Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.She was born in Gas City, Indiana, May 24, 1941, the daughter of Edward and Ruth Comer.She was a graduate of Muncie Central High School and attended Missesinawa Schools for several years.She had worked for the Motel 8 near Daleville as a clerk for 8 years.She had lived in Daleville for 37 years moving from Muncie.Survivors include her husband of 37 years: James E. Cox of Daleville, Children: Lorie (James) Harbison of Eaton and Todd (Tawni) Harvey of Anderson, 7 grandchildren: Robert (Christy) Christie of Muncie, James Harbison of Yorktown, Michael Harbison of Eaton, Cary Harbison of Eaton, and Taryn, Tracey, and Tanner Harvey of Anderson, 2 great grandchildren: Tiffany and Emma Christie of Chesterfield, 1 brother: Edward Comer of Fairmount, 3 sisters: Ilene Bell of Gas City, Patricia Robinson of Fairmount, and Carolyn (Paul) Cox of Fairmount, several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband: Ted Harvey, daughter: Diana Christie, 2 sisters: Helen Peer and Iona Headley and 1 brother: Charles Lynch.Funeral services will be on Thursday morning at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut, Daleville, with Pastor Marty Ballard of the Yorktown Church of the Nazarene officiating.Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Gas City.Friends may call at the funeral home in Daleville on Wednesday from 6-8 PM.Memorials may be made to the charity of the doners choice.The Ballard family is honored to serve the Cox's in family ministry.Online Guestbook at:
