Marnie Rochelle Ratliff

Marnie Rochelle Ratliff ,54, of Chesterfield passed away on July 5, 2024 at her residence. She was born on October 3, 1969 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Robert “Bob” Johnson and Judith Day.

Marnie was a 1987 graduate from Anderson Highland High School. She continued her education and graduated from nursing school in 2002. Marnie worked in various nursing homes throughout her nursing career and had a passion for taking care of the elderly. In her free time, she enjoyed cloud watching. Marnie’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her friends and family and watching her grandchildren play sports, whom she loved and will miss very much.

She is survived by her loving husband and longtime best friend, Colin “Bubba” Ratliff; children, Micha (John) Inglis, Savannah Browning (Kyle Baker); grandchildren, Denae Browning, Xavia Wakefield, Riley and Colton Inglis, Kayden and Charlie Baker; mother, Judy Day; bonus mom, Barb Bowman-Johnson (Ira McKay); many aunts and uncles, and Rocky, her beloved pet.

In addition to her father, Robert Johnson; she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Homer and Mary Lewellen; paternal grandparents, Robert and Helen Johnson.

A special thank you to the entire staff at MD Cancer Center of Anderson, the staff at Gentiva Hospice and caregivers, Abrina Harrison and Kenya Long.

Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2024 at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home Daleville Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
