Middletown...Mark W. Hanna,age 73 a life long resident of Middletown, Indiana died at his residence after a sudden illness.He was born on July 7, 1931 to John C. Hanna and Glady (Hunt). He was a graduate of Middletown High School. He was a toolmaker and toolmaker supervisor for General Moters in Anderson. He retired from GM after 34 years of service in October 1986. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. He was a master carpenter and woodworker. He was a member of the Northside Christian Church in Markleville and was Trustee/Building Construction Manager during the renovation project at the church. He was also on the Planning Commission Board and the Board of Appeals of Henry County.He is survived by is second wife, Aloma (Stanley) Hanna of Middletown. Two daughters: Teresa Byrd, of Middletown, and Lisa Redding, husband Dennis, of Middletown. One son: Mark ""Bill"" Hanna, of Markleville. Two Brothers: Lee Hanna (wife Gretchen) of Pendleton and Robert Hanna (wife Joan) of Middletown. Sister-in-Law: Mary Hanna of Middletown. Step children include; Le'Ann Holding of Middletown, and Steven Holding (wife Cindy) of Sylvania,Ohio. Nine grandchildren: Cortney Redding, Kyle Redding, Jami Byrd, Lindasy Hanna, Mark William Hanna III, Kevin Hanna, Luke Holding, Allison Holding, and Joe Holding.He is preceeded in death by his parents, two brothers Norman and James Hanna, a sister Martha (Kindle) and his first wife Shirley (Zile) Hanna.Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10 AM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown with the Rev. Kenneth Mishler officiating. Visitation will be Monday afternoon from 4 until 8 PM. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery
