Marion Burdell Shumaker

Sun City, AZ....Marion Burdell Shumaker, 84, resident of Sun City, AZ and Long time resident of Daleville, IN, passed away June 27, 2013 at Hospice of the Valley Health Care in Sun City, AZ.He was born January 22, 1929 and raised by his parents: Fred and Leora Shumaker.He served in the US Army as a plumber. He learned the electrical business from his Uncle Don and started Shumaker Electrical Co in 1954 and continuing through 2012.He built Shewmaker Apartments in 1971 in Daleville and had many hobbies including skeet shooting, which he won the 4 Man National Championship and several State titles. He loved planes, boating on the Ohio river, and RVing. He was a member of the Anderson Shrine Club, Daleville American Legion and Sun City Elks Lodge.He leaves behind his wife, Neva, step-daughter: Julie (Joe) and grandson: Vincent as well as his longtime business associate: Brent Cheetham of Daleville.Funeral services will Saturday July 13, 2013 at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, with Rev.
