Marilyn Kay Reed

Marilyn Kay Reed, 71, of Daleville, passed away at her residence on Sunday, July 5, 2015 following an extended illness. She was born in Missouri on October 30, 1943 to the late Fred and Agnis (Morrison) Woods. Marilyn was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Indianapolis, Knitting Club of Daleville, was a loving mother and loved to fish and cook. She loved to read, and over the winter months, she would read 3-4 books. Marilyn was a cost estimator for 20 years at Contact Metal and Welding in Indianapolis until her retirement in 2002.She is survived by her husband, who she has been with for 52 years, John C. Reed, Daleville; her children, Elaine ""Christi"" Lawson (husband: Phil), Speedway; John Chris Reed (wife: Marcia) Greencastle; Michael Lee George ""Mike"" Reed, Wabash; 5 grandchildren, Alex, Christin, Devon, Amber and Kadie; 2 great-grandchildren; Ella & Ethan. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Stella.Private family services will be held at a later date.Ballard & Sons Funeral Home is honored to celebrate the life of Marilyn Kay Reed.
