Marilyn Marie Huff

Marilyn Marie (Miller) Rutherford Huff, Portland, Michigan, and formerly of Sulphur Springs, was called home by her Lord on May 28, 2010 at the MSU Breslin Cancer Center, in Lansing, Michigan, while in the presence of her family and beloved friends. She was born May 5, 1930, in Sulphur Springs, to Abe and Vivian (Mauck) Miller, who preceded her in death. Marilyn was a member of the First Congregational Church of Portland, Michigan, and the Middletown Chapter of theOrder of the Eastern Star, where she was a 50 year member. She loved her family and many friends and loved to go fishing and playing bridge. Marilyn also enjoyed watching her favorite baseball team, the Detroit Tigers. In addition to her parents, preceding Marilyn in death were her first husband, Donald Rutherford; her second husband, Rodney Huff; a sister, Marcia (Miller) Shively Kirkpatrick; and her daughter, Teresa Ann Rutherford Forbes. Surviving are her children, Mike (Sandy) Rutherford, of New Castle and Sharon (Steve) Martin, of Williamston, Michigan; grandchildren Kelli (John) Rutherford Servizzi, Eric Rutherford, Stephen (Dolly) Martin, Jr.; Jessica and Tyler Martin and Aaron Forbes; great-grandchildren Jenna and Nathan Servizzi, and sisters, Marj (Don) Becker, of Sulphur Springs, and Jill (Mark) Surface, of Marion.Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 1, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th in Middletown. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 2, at11:00 am, with Reverend Marty Ballard of the Yorktown Church of the Nazarene officiating.
